To provide a post test plate that would differentiate between current ‘R’ scheme drivers and those subject to GDL during the transitional period and beyond, and so facilitate enforcement and help deter high risk behaviours.

The objective is to ensure that those who are in the Armed Forces are able to learn to drive in as short a time as possible and so conform to the military’s current accelerated driver training regime and in turn contribute to its operational capabilities and readiness.
