The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 6) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023”, (S.R. 2023 No. 171) which comes into operation on 1 November 2023.
The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting at Armagh, Banbridge, Belfast, Craigavon, Downpatrick, Dromore, County Down, Dundonald, Greenisland, Lurgan, Newry and Portadown and remove parking places with unlimited waiting at Belfast, Clough County Down, Dundonald, Greenisland, Lisburn and Londonderry.
As part of a Public Realm Scheme in Enniskillen existing parking places with unlimited waiting will be removed and new parking places created with parking limited to 3 hours Monday to Saturday between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm with no return to a parking place for 1 hour.
