The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking and Waiting Restrictions (Antrim) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021” (S.R. 2021 No. 263), which comes into operation on 13 October 2021.
The Rule will—
- authorise lengths of Church Street and Fountain Street, Antrim for use as parking places and prescribe the conditions under which they may be used. Between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive, parking will be limited to 1 hour with return to a parking place prohibited until 2 hours have expired.
- introduce a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading permitted) on a length of Church Street, Antrim.
- introduce a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading not permitted) on lengths of Church Street and Fountain Street, Antrim.
Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.
During the current Covid-19 restrictions, a copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged either by email on dfiroads.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone on 0300 200 7899.
