Why are you processing my personal information?

  • The information held for this service is name; e-mail address; and telephone numbers.

Where do you get my personal data from?

  • The information held has been provided by the individual or by the organisation they work for.

Do you share my personal data with anyone else?

  • Your contact information/details will also be shared with your local District Council for the purposes of community preparedness and keeping in contact prior to and during an emergency.

Do you transfer my personal data to other countries?

No – there is no transfer of personal data to other countries.

How long do you keep my personal data?

Personal data for Emergency Planning will be retained for as long as you wish to receive the service. However we will contact you periodically at least every other year to ensure the accuracy of the personal data we hold and to provide an opportunity to update your personal details. It can be removed at any time by the individual upon request.

There is no automated decision making or profiling conducted involving your personal data.

What rights do I have?

  • You have the right to obtain confirmation that your data is being processed, and access to your personal data.
  • You are entitled to have personal data rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • You have a right to have personal data erased and to prevent processing, in specific circumstances.
