Essential repairs to the footbridge on the A24 Saintfield Road at Glenhugh Park, Belfast will take place this weekend, 27 and 28 January.
To facilitate the work, it will be necessary to close the city bound lanes of the Saintfield Road at its junction with Cairnshill Road between 8.00 pm on Saturday 27 and 4.00 pm on Sunday 28 January. A diversionary route for city-bound traffic will be signed via Purdysburn Road and the A55 Outer Ring Road.
One country-bound lane will continue to operate for the duration of the repair work.
The Department will work to shorten the timescale if possible, however, some delays may be expected and additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
Warning signs are in place to advise motorists of the planned works.
