A £81,000 road improvement scheme on the Clarehill Road, Moira will start on Monday 27 August.
The resurfacing works on the stretch of road between Meeting Street and Rowandale Integrated Primary School will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the road.
To facilitate the works a road closure will be in operation. From Monday 27 August to Friday 31 August the road will be closed from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. From Tuesday 4 September to Friday 7 September an off peak closure will be in place from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. Access to the school will be maintained throughout the works.
A diversion route will be in operation which includes Meeting Street, Moira Road, Hillsborough Road, Bridge Road and Bottier Road.
Road users may experience some delays and additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
It is expected work will be substantially completed by early September, however, this is subject to favourable weather conditions and the Department will keep the public informed of any change.
