£50,000 Road improvement scheme for North Street, Stewartstown

Date published: 12 November 2018

A £50,000 road improvement scheme on North Street, Stewartstown will commence on Monday 19 November 2018.

Resurfacing work

The works, which will extend for a distance of approximately 160 metres from its junction with Castlefarm Road towards West Street, will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this section of the road.

Given the nature of the scheme, and to help ensure the safety of road users and the contractor’s workforce, it will be necessary to close North Street for the duration of the works.

During the road closure a two way traffic diversion will be in operation along West Street, Donaghendry Road, Gortgammon Road, Tullywiggan Road, Dungannon Road, Church Street, Fountain Road, Cloghog Road, Clare Lane, Coagh Road, Littlebridge Road, Lisnahall Road and Coagh Road.

Advanced warning and diversion signage will be provided and local access will be facilitated.

The Department has carefully programmed the works and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public. Motorists should expect some delays and allow additional time when planning any journeys.

Work is expected to be completed by Friday 30 November 2018 subject to favourable weather conditions. The Department will keep the public informed of any change.

The Department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
