A £60,000 upgrade scheme to improve a footway on the A3 Monaghan Road in Middletown has been completed.
The footway now provides a continuous link from the centre of Middletown to the future terminal of the Ulster Canal Greenway at Annagola Bridge.
Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon said:
“This investment of £60,000 will improve road safety for pedestrians along this section of road in Middletown and is part of my commitment to increasing opportunities for active travel.
“This will greatly enhance provision for pedestrians and provide further opportunities for active travel and connect Middletown to the Ulster Canal Greenway.
“I would like to thank the public and local businesses for their cooperation and compliance with all temporary traffic restrictions during construction.”
