The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking and Waiting Restrictions (Londonderry) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2020.

Consultation description

The Order will:

  • authorise lengths of Bishop Street Without, Boating Club Lane, William Street, and Horace Street, Londonderry for use as parking places and prescribe the conditions under which they may be used. Between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on the days Monday to Saturday parking will be limited to 1 hour with no return to a parking place within 1 hour.
  • revoke an existing parking place on Horace Street, Londonderry.
  • prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Deanfield; Lower Bennett Street and Termon Street, Londonderry.

Inspecting the proposals

Full details are contained in the draft Order which, together with a map showing the road involved, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at the Department's address as follows:

Making an objection

Any person may, before 7 August 2020, object or make other representations to the proposal by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing trafficwestern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds for objection.
