The Department for Infrastructure (DfI), being of the opinion that another road is available which provides alternative facilities for road traffic, gives notice of its intention to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993.

Consultation description

The effect of which would be to abandon an area of 3163 square metres of the U8017 (unnamed road) commencing at its junction with Redrock Road, Markethill and continuing for a distance of 373 metres in a north-easterly direction.

Inspecting the proposal

The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft Order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 27 June 2024 to 7 August 2024 at:

Inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can only be arranged either by e-mail using the e-mail address below or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Making an objection
